Types of searching

Three types of searches are performed on the application data:

• Exact Match, where the data must match exactly.
• Like Match, where you can type part of the word. For example, Stam, Stamenk and Stamenko will all find Stamenkov. This is available for all fields except UIN and Jurisdiction.
• Soundex Match, where it will display all names that sound similar. For example, Stomenkov, Stomonkov and Stemoncov will all find Stamenkov. This only applies to name fields.
  
  Note: Soundex Match will not find sound alike names where the first character is different. For example, Jeff will not find Geoff.
