Payment eligibility dates

The payment eligibility date you enter for a FHOG application determines the date on which the grant is paid. The payment date (when the Revenue Office actually pays you) is usually several days prior to the payment eligibility date. The exact number of days difference varies between jurisdictions and in set (and possibly changed) by the appropriate Revenue Office.

The payment eligibility date is also determined differently between jurisdictions, and you should seek clarification from the appropriate Revenue Office if your instructions are not clear.

The payment eligibility date may, for example, be the settlement date or occupancy date for an existing house, or the contract date for a house to be constructed.
