If you have already submitted your application
If you are applying for CONDITIONAL APPROVAL , you will need to upload the following documents as a minimum requirement before your application will be assessed.
Copy of your Australian birth certificate, Australian Citizenship certificate or current Australian passport
Copy of the Notice of Assessment issued by the Australian Taxation Office for either the 2018-19 or 2019-20 financial year for each applicant, or evidence of nil tax return or non-lodgement advice if not required to lodge a tax return. You must black out (redact) your tax file number(s) before you upload your Notice(s) of Assessment.
PLUS the following, depending on your contract type (i.e. new build, substantial renovation, off the plan). Please see HomeBuilder Grant - RevenueSA for further information on each contract type.
NEW BUILD
Copy of the schedule of particulars of the comprehensive home building contract signed by all parties on or between 4 June 2020 and 31 March 2021 (inclusive)
Copy of contract of sale for land if purchased prior to the building contract or separate from a house and land contract
SUBSTANTIAL RENOVATION
Building contract for substantial renovations signed by all parties on or between 4 June 2020 and 31 March 2021 (inclusive)
OFF THE PLAN/BUYING NEW HOME
Schedule of the sales contract for the purchase of a new home/off the plan home signed by all parties on or between 4 June 2020 and 31 March 2021 (inclusive)
If you have entered into only one contract for house and land (house and land package), please supply a copy of this contract.
If you are applying for FULL APPROVAL AND PAYMENT of the HomeBuilder Grant, you will need to also upload the following documents in addition to the above:
NEW BUILD
Copy of the certificate of title for the property (if available)
Evidence of construction having commenced (Statutory Declaration or Mandatory Notification to Council by the registered builder)
Copy of both invoices and receipts showing that first progress payment has been made to the builder under the contract
Copy of the builder's registration/licence
SUBSTANTIAL RENOVATION
Renovation of existing home
Copy of the certificate of title for the property (if available)
Copy of the first invoice issued by the builder for renovation work, as per the renovation contract (this will denote commencement of construction)
Copy of both invoices and receipts showing that $150,000 has been paid to the builder
Copy of the builder's registration/licence
Copy of the plans and architectural drawings for the renovations, as well as plans of the house before the renovation
Copy of the detailed costings schedule/quotation that describes the scope of work to be performed and the associated costs
Knockdown & Rebuild
Copy of the certificate of title for the property (if available)
Copy of the demolition invoice
Evidence of construction having commenced (Statutory Declaration or Mandatory Notification to Council by the registered builder)
Copy of both invoices and receipts showing that $150,000 has been paid to the builder
Copy of the builder's registration/licence
OFF THE PLAN / NEW HOME
Copy of the certificate of title for the property (if available)
Practical completion certificate from the builder, or if new home purchase - a copy of the handover statement from the builder
Evidence of construction having commenced on or after 4 June 2020 (Statutory Declaration or Mandatory Notification to Council by the registered builder)
For a new home purchase a written statement from the vendor confirming the home hasn't previously been sold or occupied as a place of residence
Copy of the builder's registration/licence
